Description: This loop begins with a climb up the north fork of Mesa Creek to the old squatter’s camp site of “Looneyville” on a seasonally graded county road (CR O-14). Go east (right) up a short hill as you begin an easy traverse around Moon Mesa. At mile 11, go right to climb up to Long Mesa or go left to drop into the south fork of Mesa Creek. The road on Long Mesa will eventually drop you into the south fork where you will meet up with the marked Paradox Trail. Follow the road as it heads around the south edge of Long Mesa, crossing the north fork of Mesa Creek and back to the trailhead.
