Description: From the lower trailhead this is an out-and-back trail for hiking and Mtn. Biking. It can also be ridden as a loop by following FS Roads 611 and 612 to the upper trailhead (6.1 miles) and riding the trail downhill to the lower trailhead. The trail follows Goat Creek for most of its length crossing the creek two times. It starts through a grove of aspens that can be flooded in the spring and then requires a wet crossing of Goat Creek. It then climbs a series of switchbacks up the ridge above Goat Creek. After crossing the creek again the trail climbs to the upper trailhead. In the Spring and early Summer the trail can be very wet and flooded in places.
